just wanted to say a massive thank you for listening to me this year!! to be totally truthful with you, 2024 has been a really hard year for me as an artist - i’ve struggled a lot with imposter syndrome and comparison, and a lot of the time i have felt like i just haven’t been good enough. it’s such a bizarre job being an artist, so much of your success relies on external validation and when the product you’re selling is yourself it can really fuck with your self esteem. getting stuck in that place really took me away from a lot of the joy of being a musician and all the amazing things i have achieved this year, whether that be going on my first headline tour and seeing all your faces in the crowd or working with some immensely talented and inspiring beings and releasing music that i truly love - but that’s what i will be taking with me and i am so so happy to see that a whole 215,000 of you listened to my music this year because that’s actually quite a lot of people!!! not bad for a gay kid from a tiny village in cornwall, here’s to a kai bosch 2025 xxx

it seems i am not much of a content diva so i present to you the only evidence i have of making this song <3 i decided earlier this year that i was really bloody sick of taking myself so seriously, anyone that knows me will attest that i am very loud and annoying in real life and truthfully it was at war with the spooky dark persona i had built around my artist project - so i decided to just go into writing sessions and just forget about sound, aesthetic or making sure every single lyric was worthy of a nobel prize for literature and instead just have fun - and tbh girls this is what started coming out! rodeo romeo is my best song ever period. wrote the verses in my bedroom one night in june, took it to the wonderful wonderful @thisisfyfe the next day and within about 15 minutes we had the rest of the song. my favourite person in the world @duncan_mills produced it up and my mega talented superstar guitarist friend @jacklouisrennie arrived and just played that frankly iconic guitar solo off the bat and then that was that really <3 i hope you eat it up because that was the intent girls - i love making campy cowboy pop xxx

soooo we embark on a new chapter! everything is beautiful is out now - it’s my first ever love song and i wrote it for my boyfriend charlie quite embarrassingly early into talking but when you know you know and i thank god that he’s still here otherwise that would’ve been really awks lol it’s about meeting someone and suddenly everything that’s happened to you up to that point making sense, and it all being in the name of something - everything happens for a reason and all that <3 a huge huge thanks to @duncan_mills for being the best collaborator ever to work with, sometimes it feels like we share a brain when we make music and nobody quite gets it like you do a special thank you to @gabe_coulter for being so handily around the corner to play guitar on the track and thus help in the writing of a frankly iconic bridge @samtayloredwards ta for the piccies and cover art, you absolutely ate that and i look so fancy eeeeee onwards and upwards, summer of love has just begun xxxx
