Watching Graham ride a bike has been one constant thing in life that has never seemed to get old. Capturing his playful style has been a big part in why I’ve kept myself active in mountain bike photography all these years.
Thank you @grahamagassiz and @mindsparkcinema for having me along on this project with @yt_industries . I’m stoked to share a bunch of work over the next while from this one.

When I was connecting the dots between what I admire most in people,
and my personal ‘why’ for making a portrait series about it,
my friend Kaleb was one of the first people on my mind.
He’s got a playful way with a camera that has inspired me for a long time. Like since before social media and before I lived in Kamloops, when I used to refresh the @nsmbteam forums a few times a day in hopes Kaleb had posted new riding photos of @stevint 😅
He’s a husband, and a dad.
He works night shifts and he turns wrenches on trains. I think that’s enough responsibility for most people to forget about their inner kid… but Kaleb’s work with a camera clearly demonstrates why play is so important for us. Because he makes it look too easy.
And whenever I see him lift his eye from behind his camera, I see the child-like smirk and spirit of play that I want this series to be about.

Sometimes things don’t go the way you were hoping they would, and it makes for a scene that you otherwise wouldn’t have thought possible.
I don’t think we could have got anymore wet if we were swimming. The unexpected snow is what left us all smiles while we attempted to get this shot. I feel really lucky to have been the guy holding a camera, in a bike park during a blizzard in June with some
Unreal talent.
Thank you Jesse for capitalizing on this move and gifting me with one of my favourite captures to date.

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve seen a Great Grey. I was starting to feel like they had moved on… Realistically, they probably watch me every time I drive a dirt road and have a hoot over the fact that I never seem to look in the right spot.
Happy to report that they still exist in my local hills. Thanks for letting me hang while you searched for some breakfast ya beauty. 🦉

We’re deep into fall in BC. November is here and any day without snow starts to feel like a bonus.
A season that started off with crisp cool mornings that would end with a T-shirt in the evening, has now turned itself into an all day chill.
I hope everyone was busy enjoying autumn in whatever way they love most. Thanks @justin.hodgson for enjoying one with me 🍻 🍂

It’s been a while since I’ve shot two wheels with a motor in the middle. I had a blast getting out with my good friend Casey. He picked up a new bike early in the year and let me tell you, this boy is all about it.
Capturing the stoke on this crispy fall morning was a nice change of scene for me. Let’s grab another roadside thermos brew soon homie! ☕️
Thanks @dylansherrard for the assist on that accelerator for those rolling pan shots. Team effort 👊🏽.

Something nostalgic about golden glow on Kamloops sage, with a little dusting of fresh cracked tabe.

I didn’t know this day would be my last one for the season at @sunpeaksbikepark when I was there. Now that the chairs are no longer turning, looking back, it was a good way to cap things off. Forever grateful for camera’s, bikes and cappuccino’s with my good friend @dylansherrard . ✌🏽 ☕️
