Spent the day in Lone Pine helping out with an Imax workshop for USC. There’s a long history of movies being shot there including Greed, the 1938 Gunga Dun with Cary Grant, and more recently Iron Man #1 and Django Unchained. Their little film museum is mostly dedicated to Western films, but it does have a **very** cool Technicolor System 4 camera (more commonly known as the “three strip” camera), and a restored camera car from 1928 once owned by RKO pictures. Also, a street named for Tim Holt right by the museum—wonder how that came about.
