yesterday, i met my parents and grandparents half way to home for breakfast. to give you an idea, it’s about an hour and a half drive. as i drove, i was listening to worship music as i waited for my hometown church service to begin. in the quiet, the Lord spoke to me. i began to recognize every blessing i had in my life. i also realized i am exactly where i have prayed to be for so many years. the school i go to, the opportunities i have, the girls im surrounded by, my sweet boyfriend, and my family who unconditionally supports me. i couldn’t be more grateful for the life i am living. to the world, i may have much to complain about. a chronic illness that affects me day in and day out, the hardship of finding a mean of income, the decision and confusion to pick a major, the list goes on. finding joy, no matter the circumstance has SAVED me. each day there is something to be grateful for and a blessing to recognize. TYJ.

week 1 @ LU a year ago my life looked very different. a year ago if you told me i was a week into college at liberty i would’ve told you that you were insane. not only had i ruled liberty out of my lists of colleges, i had ruled every school in VA out. however i could not be happier with where God has placed me. on this campus i have already enjoyed spontaneous worship sessions, bible studies, two convocations and one campus community. this is truly a place of life change. the joy of the Lord is so apparent in every interaction and moment. i couldnt end this sappy post without bragging about my girls. abby, ella, and daisy im so grateful for such a beautiful friendship between all of us, truly a blessing from God. thank you Jesus for providing me a new home, a sisterhood of girls, and a renewed love for life. oh & LU, ily. ❤️💙
