Not a drop since Halloween 2016🥂Meant to share this a week ago on the actual day but was with family in London celebrating other wondrous occasions. I love that my sobriety b-day falls on not only my favorite holiday but my mother in law’s birthday. I find that to be quite special. On the way to dinner that night we stumbled upon one of my favorite worlds and a story that has granted me escapism my whole life. As a child reading these books was like a door to another realm where I got be as mighty and powerful as I wanted to be and as I felt I was. For a long time during my drinking years I lost that magic. I found myself believing in nothing but my own demise. You reap what you sow. But if it’s true; that you can create pain and darkness for yourself, the same thing can be said for conjuring the opposite by confronting your demons head on. It takes guts, strength and will but I fought the hell I had made and came out the other side feeling like a warrior again. To celebrate my 8 years I picked up my 4th wand that belonged to Minerva Mcgonagall, the baddest witch of them all🪄 For those of you who have been through similar or are still going through it, I just want to say I believe in you and inside of us all there is an unyielding force waiting to be chosen🖤
