PERSPECTIVE

My entire personal ethos can be distilled into this one photo of me taken by @kitkat_ch ❤️🤗 I generally have a strong aversion to pics of myself, but this one is the exception, favorite pic ever - and despite (or because of?) the 🍑, I’ll totally show to my grandkids someday. Taken after we slept under the stars in our sleeping bags with this view at our feet - and right after I went on a naked roam to pick wild blueberries. The only way I want to live!!

Given that it’s usually me and Gidgey solo in the van I never get pictures of us driving. Thank you for these awesome shots @rad_z71 !

Got to play with my @aquatech_imagingsolutions #sonya7riv for the first time on this trip! And what a gift to dive with 8(!!!) kinds of sharks this week: reefs, bulls, tigers, hammers, black tips, nurses, lemons, & sharp nose 🦈

Into the valley of Petra

As much as I love taking pictures, I’ve always been afraid of taking pictures of people. I’ve seen so many moments pass in front of me I would have loved to photograph but just feel hesitant, or concerned about invading someone’s privacy, or if I’m in another country worried the person will feel im “otherizing” them. I’m working on getting over it, and I find that most of the time people love the idea of being photographed, and if they don’t the worst that will happen is they will let you know. I’ve loved observing people on this trip in Jordan so far - heres a few favorite moments from the first day in Amman.
