- HAND PLEATED CREPE WOOL TAILORED TROUSERS - It is with sheer excitement, blushing emotion and sincere pride that I will be sharing my second collection with you all For a whole year, I’ve worked with passion and diligence on these 20 pieces. Each one of them has been intricately developed and meticulously conceived to express the fluidity of movement, sensuality and harmony. The collection shows the divine flow of these elements – movement, sensuality, and harmony - between the garments and the body. The volumes are created in a way that work to highlight your silhouette. Ivory crepe wools were used on the pleated and draped tailored pieces in order to create a Clair obscur effect. Two years ago, during an interview with Zeit magazine, I was asked if I would ever design a wedding dress in a color other than white. I replied that I would be thrilled to create a red dress—red passion, red fire, red love. Little did I know that Andrea would request one just a few months later. After prototyping a first sample in Berlin, we had our first fitting in San Francisco in January. I worked on developing the custom-made pieces until May, when the wedding finally took place.
