An absolute honour to see First Lady Jill Biden and the great artist Carrie Mae Weems both wearing Dior alongside President Joe Biden who awarded Carrie Mae Weems with the National Medal in the Arts at the White House. What an incredible moment!

Some of my favourite images from the latest @dior Cruise 2025 campaign shot by the wonderful @brigitteniedermair out today! Inspired by the sisterhood and rivalry between Mary Queen of Scott’s and Queen Elizabeth the I, I am happy and humbled to create such timeless images together.

Merci mille fois @michelgaubert for creating a soundtrack which perfectly captured the powerful energy and emotions of the @dior Spring Summer 2025 ready-to-wear show. It is always such a pleasure to work with you. So lucky to have you as a friend and collaborator, you are the best!

Delving into the Archives for inspiration for the new collection, I was particularly fascinated by a beautiful picture by Willy Maywald taken in 1949 of model Alla de Dulmen wearing a look from the Christian Dior Milieu du Siècle line. A black woolen dress is styled with long black gloves, defined in the original press release as being “especially studied, but very simple”, with the characteristic of buttoning behind the shoulder. For the latest @dior Spring Summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection, we reproduced these unique gloves and ensemble, to create a look which echoes both the codes of the Maison and the modern Amazon biker theme. Contemporary cultures have often drawn on the historical figure of the Amazon, a symbol of women’s liberation. Certain books, in the form of an imaginary and timeless exchange, have created a dialogue to interpret the symbolic dimension of Amazons and place them in the universe of feminist battles. For this @dior ready-to-wear Spring-Summer 2025 collection, I wished to explore these enigmatic characters, to reimagine them as political figures capable of generating new meanings and worlds.

Throughout time, Amazons have always been closely associated with horses and are thought to have been daring fighters and formidable riders. Their representations often feature them holding bows and shields, wearing armours and asymmetrical draped clothing or harnesses which allowed them to ride, move and defend themselves without hindrance. The construction of clothing to facilitate movement and provide more freedom to the wearer is reinterpreted for the @dior Spring Summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection through asymmetrical cuts and drapery, combining meticulous tailoring with more contemporary and sport-inspired silhouettes. ©️ Photo: @elena.dottelonde
