Tomorrow I’m releasing CARNIVAL OF SOULS EDP 🎹🤍 Notes: Mimosa Cream, Violet, Saffron, Coconut, Amber, Patchouli, Vanilla, Incense and Musk. Emerging from a Cadillac plunged deep beneath the muddy tide surfaces Mary Henry – the sole survivor of a car accident and protagonist of the 1962 b-horror movie Carnival of Souls. After the crash, Mary spontaneously moves to Utah to start over and work as a church organist. She develops the ability to become invisible and dances with ghosts in a seductive, electric dimension. Mary’s journey into the underworld coincides with her insatiable curiosity for something more than a life of fear, and the film poignantly suggests that a dance with her demon is the only way through to the other side. It emanates a melancholic celebration of life (and death), and the radiant psychedelia of survival. En route, she is haunted by a bizarre apparition that compels her toward an abandoned lakeside pavilion. Made by industrial filmmakers on a small budget, the eerily effective B-movie classic Carnival of Souls was intended to have “the look of a Bergman and the feel of a Cocteau”—and, with its strikingly used locations and spooky organ score, it succeeds. Herk Harvey’s macabre masterpiece gained a cult following on late-night television and continues to inspire filmmakers today.”
