We attempted this route a few weeks ago but I fell 20 feet down the chimney and injured myself so I didn’t feel like continuing on. This time we climbed the 2200 foot route Epinephrine. It was helpful to learn how to chimney climb before doing several hundred feet of chimney climbing

I’m recognizing a little milestone in my climbing journey, the first Dayton and Matt ascent of Royal Arches; a beautiful 15 pitch Yosemite classic. Some great chimneys, slab face climbing, and amazing crack systems taking us up to a view that pictures don’t do justice. The next day it snowed and thus our climbing trip was finished.
