At TINGS Studios, we are dedicated to dual empowerment, showcasing individuals with profound history, knowledge, and experiences alongside the youth of emerging talent. In the Luminaries of Steel edition .07, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Harriet Quick, one of my favorite journalists, crafting stories with five visionaries whose insights and innovations shape how we live, work, dine, socialize,invest, communicate, walk, and run. These individuals, through the imaginative process, vision, and sheer willpower, have creatively transformed their lives and ours, pushing the boundaries of their physical and mental abilities, ensuring a diverse narrative that enriches and informs every generation.

The last time we spoke, Ivan told me, “I am going to take care of myself.” Those words came a few months after his departure from IMG. Ivan wanted time to think, a luxury tragically cut short.  As we said our goodbyes that day, I was convinced he was well-prepared for a new chapter in his life. Ivan was young and savvy, well-connected, and beloved by our industry. But most importantly, he had Grant by his side—a bond and warmth that seemed destined to last a lifetime. Beyond our professional ties, Ivan was someone I genuinely cared for. Our journeys through this industry ran parallel and began when he was an assistant at Boss Models, sporting long hair—a time that remains etched in my memory. From there, Ivan, with Jen and Chris’s support, moved through the ranks at Ice Models and then Wilhelmina, Ford, and ultimately landed at International Management Group. 💌➡️
