Lesson 5 - fashion 👗 Very quick and simple drawings to test out different materials and techniques. What I found out: the less color complexity the better. Working with bigger shapes is better too. Lesson 4 🤓 - Character Design It's a pretty new field for me and my study is kind of basic, but I'm happy with the theming and general vibe. It lacks some cohesion (my headcanon and the story of the character was all over the place) and could need way more detail (for which I should research more references next time). Both those flaws are reflected in the piece. I think my next piece will be about fashion and fabrics. Lesson 3: Stylization 👨‍🎓 I looooove artists that can take a reference and turn it upside down, without loosing it's "vibe". Thats what I tried this time. On the second pic you can see on the left my usual Style of drawing, and on the right the exaggeration of it. I keep trying to learn new things. This time Colored light and how it behaves on different materials. This one is a quicky too, as will be the next few pieces. It's more about the learning process to me now. Just imagine the cowboy Bebop Soundtrack right now. 😎Some chill jazz for an action pic. 👌I am surprised how fast the coloring went. Way faster than the linework. Even though the lightning is pretty complex and I didn’t use reference.

Buuuut I still am not happy with everything. The pieces still look way too busy and unclean in my opinion. The shapes are still not clear enough, the linework not purposefull. So at some point I will probably return to basic study work.
