The campaign is an ode to the timeless allure of London—where the collection debuted, and the House’s deep connection to the city. The second piece of my show You never did anything wrong (up until October 19 at Gagosian), is a slideshow called The Stendhal Syndrome. The Stendhal Syndrome is defined as the psychic response that leads to collapse in the face of overwhelming beauty. Based on Ovid’s Metamorphosis, the piece is structured around 6 myths including Cupid and Psyche, and Orpheus and Eurydice. Juxtaposing Renaissance paintings and sculptures with the faces and relationships of my friends and lovers shows that my community has always existed. It includes a symphonic score by Soundwalk Collective that brings the piece to another level. The piece is housed in another building by the architect Hala Wardé which simulates the experience of entering a museum.

My new show You never did anything wrong just opened at Gagosian and runs til October 19. It includes a new slideshow and my first 16mm film. The film You never did anything wrong is based on the ancient myth that the solar eclipse is caused by animals stealing the sun. Housed in a magnificent building by Hala Wardé that simulates the experience of the eclipse. Carried by a cacophonic score by Mica Levi, it’s abstract and apocalyptic, and the animals prevail. It’s dedicated to the heroic work of Mr. Saeed Al Err and Sulala Animal Rescue, the only animal rescue in Gaza.
