Lemon balm + lavender sun tea 🌿🪻 A little citrusy, a little floral, a lot refreshing - this cooling tonic will be enjoyed on repeat at our house all summer long (or as long as the garden allows ☺️) If you don’t have lemon balm, fresh mint would work great too! - Fill a sterile glass vessel 3/4 full of lemon balm leaves + a handful of lavender sprigs. I soak my herbs in a water & ACV bath beforehand and give it a good rinse. - Add filtered water, seal, set in a sunny spot for 4-8 hours. - Strain, add honey to taste, chill and enjoy ✨

Back on my bs 🥖 It’s been months since I’ve made sourdough; one of my intentions for 2024 is to make these slow practices more ingrained in daily life, instead of just “when I have time”. Every funky little loaf and its perfect imperfections brings me joy and my family nourishment, so I think that’s worth honoring. Luckily my trusty starter Sandie is hardy enough to endure some (/a lot) of neglect. Like most of us, she bounces back after a good feeding. (These loaves use a recipe from @theclevercarrot , it’s a low hydration dough yielding a tighter crumb for sammies and toast. Modified with a 60/40 blend of @kingarthurbaking bread flour and @jovialfoods whole wheat einkorn. Baked in @ourplace perfect pot 🫶🏽)
