A year ago today, I woke up as an Angeleno for the first time. It’s been a difficult year. However, as I reflect on it, I am swept up in an unutterable wave of gratitude. I’ve been taught so much more than I ever hoped to learn. I’ve been given so many more opportunities than I ever thought I deserved. Strangers have welcomed me into their lives and given me family and home half a continent from my own. Words may fail, but they’re all I have. So thank you. My soul is fuller because of you. I love you. All right, enough sentimental stuff. Back to one.
