I love bootleg merch so I promised myself that if the Dodgers won this year I’d make my own. So I designed and hand-printed a bunch of these t-shirts — DM me if you wanna buy one! 30 bucks, local pickup preferred BIG time but can ship for extra $$ if necessary. 100% cotton fruit of the loom blanks, S-XL. The design is a nod to Freddie Freeman’s game-winning grand slam in game 1 of the World Series. The Dodgers, down to their last out and trailing the Yankees 3-2, send Freddie to the plate. The bases are loaded. Battered with a sprained ankle, broken finger, and cracked ribs (that he kept a secret!), Freddie launches the first pitch he sees four hundred feet to right field, and the rest is history. There’s so much to say about that moment but for me the simplest of thoughts prevails: Man, baseball is so cool.

THE DODGERS WON THE DAMN WORLD SERIES

Struck some additional colors of the hardware print. Rolling out gradients on the background plate led to some real winners. Pigment mixing is surprisingly tricky and it was a real challenge to achieve some of the colors I was after with the inks at my disposal. I’m pretty proud of the level of detail I was able to achieve in parts of this — perhaps more than the rubber material I’m carving is able to reliably transfer. Looking forward to buying some actual linoleum for future prints. #printmaking #linocut #truevaluehardware

Tried my hand at some linocut printmaking, something I learned in high school but never attempted in more than one color. I was always fascinated with the idea of the different color blocked layers and the little flaws that come from less than perfect alignment.
