About Plastic Productions

±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±±

Plastic Productions create and produce events that combine the energy of art exhibitions and live performances with the communal spirit of social gatherings. Through this combination, we utilise the connecting power of various artistic practices. This unique blend transforms our events into vibrant platforms for connection, communication, and collaboration, engaging participants and audiences alike.

Each event uses a theme as a starting point, inviting a diverse cohort of artists and creators to delve into the subject matter. Emphasising interdisciplinary collaboration, we showcase site-specific installations and performances. Plastic Productions is founded on the belief that shared experiences foster strong bonds among attendees, artists, and performers alike.

We want to shine a light on up-and-coming talent, offering emerging artists a stage to display their work and make their mark. Plastic Productions aspires to make art and culture dynamic, enjoyable, and accessible. By breaking free from traditional formats, our goal is to celebrate the unpredictable and create memorable experiences that linger well beyond the event or exhibition's conclusion.

~• AGNESE MENGUZZATO •~

Agnese Menguzzato is an Italian composer and musician based in Berlin. With a foundation in violin and Renaissance lute, she has charted her musical path by playing at the intersection of past and current sonorities, often deploying the lute auditory potential.

Her debut solo EP Scusa, released through the Berlin imprint Verlag, has been praised as “an ode to gentleness”.
Menguzzato’s musical expression is rooted in the vivid imagery of her childhood and a profound interaction with nature, from which all human sentiment flows.

Growing up amidst the Trentino Alps and the Apennines of Emilia-Romagna, she draws inspiration from these resounding landscapes to create musical pieces that tap into both the tangible and the ethereal.

Her live performances have steadily gained momentum, taking her across Europe to venues and festivals such as Berlin’s silent green Kulturquartier, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxembourg Platz, Turin’s Cripta747, and Venice’s Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi. Her recent performance at Norberg Festival further solidified her growing reputation in the contemporary music scene.

As a collaborator, Agnese has worked with a wide range of artists, including Sara Persico, Soho Rezanejad, and Paula Ďurinová, and her contributions can be heard on the latest compilation from Berlin’s art and record label Unguarded.

~• rouge-ah •~

Urška Preis, aka rouge-ah, is a composer, harpist, visual artist, and writer. Under the moniker rouge-ah they explore sound, and are currently researching dreams, nightmares and other sleep disruptions. Their main instruments are acoustic and electric harp, with a tendency of extracting uncharacteristic sounds from them. Since relocating to Berlin in spring 2022, rouge-ah has become a regular at some of the edgiest live music venues in the city, carrying their electric harp and effects pedals everywhere, from smoky underground basements to cosy Neukölln record shops to Berghain Kantine, always bringing fresh and unexpected sounds, from layers of delicate notes to roars of feedback and distortion that seem to conceal an orchestra or a choir in full flow.

•~ DIANE ESNAULT ~•

Diane Esnault is a French textile designer, artist and craftivist living in Berlin. She works on versatile textile-based projects for costume design, scenography, vexillography and large scale fabric installations. Over the years, she developed long term collaborations with different cross-disciplinary artists, such as Claudia Hill, Raul Walch & Tianzhuo Chen AKA Asian Dope Boys.

Her textile paintings are vivid colourful patchworks revitalising second-hand clothes and thrifted fabrics.
Her passion for fashion and photography drove her also into the world of Styling and Upcycled Clothing.

Being fascinated by graphies in all their forms, from Fabienne Verdier’s calligraphies to the Graffiti’s energy and Lettrism, Diane Esnault merges text and fabric in a tactile storytelling, quilting and embroidering personal writing from her own diary to pop or rap songs lyrics.
Furthermore, she can infuse social claims into her softly acid contemporary coat of arms and stained-glass inspired fiber art.
Without a doubt, she fully embraces the craftivism practice, drifting domestic artistry into a gentle protest, therefore evolving into Vestimental Activism.

Diane has developed a close relationship with the European music scene by crafting oriflammes and textile scenographies for musicians such as Petra Hermanova, BORA, Uxile, Jungstötter and Aïsha Devi.

”In times of fear and division, where forces seek to separate us, our ability to connect, coexist, and dream together are some of our greatest strengths. Through resistance and collective imagination, we can craft hopes for alternate futures, beyond the grim prospects we currently face. Like weaving and quilting, what may seem insignificant alone becomes part of a larger, unified creation, building new realities from the pieces we bring together.”

Incredibly hard performance to capture and neither phone camera nor mic do it an ounce of justice. But we wanted to still share this post as an ode of love and appreciation for LFZxSRP’s OIPM performance, performed at midnight at our bunker festival rave with @objekt4000 and @forever_unlimited_ 🦇

“Omne Ignotum Pro Magnificum” is a performance that immerses the audience in a blend of
ritualistic ambient and noise music with spoken word and extended voice techniques. Reinterpreting the phrase “everything unknown is taken for magnificent”, the performance is a call to the invisible and unknown as a form of escapism from the burdens of reality. It explores the idea that the obscure and uncertain, while daunting, are preferable to the crushing weight of the known. The performers aim to transcend their identities and become vessels for their inner ghosts, offering an intense, ecstatic, and cathartic experience.

You just had to be there.
