It's going to be great in the long term but is causing issues for us in the immediate moment of us being here and trading... Lovely to celebrate our 1st birthday with Small Town Brass and everyone who has come down to see It’s A Wonderful Life. Feels like Christmas and Birthday rolled into one! In that time we’ve shown 25 films including 3 Pride screenings and an independent film, sold over 800 tickets, had 8 live acts, 2 DJs, hosted 4 Q+As, and raised money for 3 charities. A big thank you to everyone who has been down to see a film. We’ll keep screening if you keep coming. Massive thanks to our little team of volunteers, Chris at @sundshortsfilm, and huge thanks to Michael and Dan and all the staff at POP Recs for letting us put films on in the coolest venue in Sunderland. We’ve one more film before Christmas, Muppets Christmas Carol, then it’s a wrap. Keep following us, we’ve got big plans for next year!

ONE WEEK TODAY!!!! Euros Childs has been making music for over thirty years, as a solo artist and as the frontman of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci. He’s released 19 solo albums to date, most of which have appeared on his own National Elf label. Since 2019 Euros has also been playing keyboards and lending his voice to Teenage Fanclub, appearing on their last two albums. This tour will mark Euros’s return to the stage with a band for the first time in seven years. He’ll be joined by long term collaborators Stephen Black (aka Sweet Baboo) Stuart Kidd (Kidd, The Wellgreen) and Selma French (Morgonrode, Frøkedal). Expect a show full of life, zest and humour that draws on Euros’s extensive back catalogue as well as songs from his forthcoming album Beehive Beach, due in October. Link in bio
