On International Migrants Day, we celebrate all LGBTQ+ people from around the world who call London home. Many continue to leave their home realities in search of a place where they can live openly, love freely, and express their true selves without fear.
As we acknowledge the resilience and courage of all LGBTQ+ migrants, who leave behind everything familiar to start anew, we recognise their contributions to shaping London into the diverse and vibrant city it is today. 🌈♡
At Pride in London, we continue to work towards equality, visibility, and inclusion, so that everyone can feel safe and welcomed, regardless of where they come from or who they love, and can thrive in our city by being their authentic selves.🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️✨

Human Rights Day is a powerful reminder of the importance of human rights to create lasting change.
Our Pride in London parade is a celebration of unity, diversity, visibility, and our many victories as LGBTQ+ people over the years, but a lot still needs to be done to achieve equality, justice, and dignity for our global community.🌈⚖️❤️
At a time when many of our hard-won rights are under threat, the theme for Human Rights Day this year ‘Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now’ invites us to stand in the spirit of Pride - a protest - and take action against systemic inequalities.
Pride in London needs your voice! Share your thoughts and what matters most to you: it will help us better advocate for our diverse community.🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️✨
Let us know via the poll in stories or send us a DM (all answers will remain confidential).

On celebrating Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day, let’s honour the authenticity and individuality of our pansexual and panromantic siblings and reflect on their contributions to the LGBTQ+ community. 🩷💛💙
By embracing sexual and/or romantic attraction to people of all genders – including non-binary, genderfluid, genderqueer, and agender individuals – pansexuals and panromantics invite us to reflect on the evolution of gender and the norms that have shaped its definition across cultures and history.
Pansexuals and panromantics transcend gender-related societal impositions and promote a more inclusive view of humanity.
Here’s to honouring diversity and empowering people to live authentically. 🌈✨

On World AIDS Day, let’s pause to commemorate the lives lost to HIV and AIDS.🕯️✨
In the UK, we now have the tools to prevent transmission. Testing, PrEP, and antiretroviral therapies are free on the NHS. Yet, stigma, discrimination, and inequality are still a major cause of HIV transmissions.
Awareness is crucial: not only for prevention but also for fighting discrimination against people living with HIV. Individuals on effective treatment cannot transmit HIV. U=U: Undetectable = Untransmittable.
As we honour medical advances and the tireless work of HIV and human rights activists, we also reflect on the situation in countries still lacking HIV and AIDS resources, where people continue to die from HIV-related causes.
With the UK government committed to ending HIV transmissions by 2030, let’s unite on this World AIDS Day. Whether by fighting ignorance, getting tested, or supporting organisations working to end HIV and AIDS, let’s make it our collective goal to end HIV once and for all.🌈❤️

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we reflect on @tgeuorg Trans Murder Monitoring 2024, which reveals 350 reported murders of trans and gender-diverse individuals in the past year alone.
Sadly, the reality of anti-trans violence is far greater than the numbers show, with many trans lives lost to discrimination and violence going unrecorded, especially in regions with limited resources or entrenched transphobia.
41% of transgender people have attempted suicide, highlighting the mental health crisis exacerbated by discrimination, rejection, and lack of support.
Intersectionality plays a crucial role, as Black trans women and trans sex workers are disproportionately targeted, facing compounded discrimination from racism, transphobia, and stigma.
To support and protect the trans community, we must tackle anti-trans sentiment at its very core, partnering with governments and organisations to shift culture, change policies, safeguard trans rights, and create safe spaces for our trans siblings.🏳️⚧️✨
At Pride in London, we reaffirm our commitment to justice, equality, and a future free from discrimination and hate. Let’s honour the lives lost to ignorance and violence by standing in solidarity and taking tangible steps towards lasting change. 💙🤍🩷

For Trans Awareness Week, we’re sharing a valuable resource to better understand the state of trans-specific healthcare across Europe.🏳️⚧️💡
Transgender Europe @tgeuorg has just released the Trans Health Map 2024, highlighting the challenges faced by trans people when seeking healthcare.
These findings come at a pivotal moment, as the World Health Organization @who is set to issue updated guidelines and critical directives on trans-specific healthcare in March 2025.
The Trans Health Map 2024 confirms that trans people continue to face stigma, discrimination, and long waiting times when seeking care. However, it also highlights positive momentum in some areas, with increasing recognition of the need for inclusive and accessible healthcare.🌈✨
Pride in London is committed to supporting, protecting, and advancing trans rights. We stand with our global trans community in demanding better healthcare access, more inclusive policies, and an end to the pathologisation of trans identities.⚖️
Swipe for key findings from the Trans Health Map 2024. You can access the full map via the link in our bio.
