Earlier this year, after more than a decade on the board at Krabbesholm Højskole, I transitioned into a new role as an external curator and art consultant at the school.

Since then, we have launched a new website for Four Boxes Gallery and the exhibition series ‘unboxing’, where I curate and mediate contemporary art for local skibonitter, students, and those who stop by from other parts of the country.

Thank you to everyone at the school for always welcoming me, and to all my former co-board members and everyone else who joined throughout the years!

I’m so immensely proud of @banaan___ , who said yes to a new large-scale commission at this year’s @roskildefestival in collaboration with @art_hub_copenhagen. Curated by me and led by the best production lead @kristinebeeech .

Look forward to ‘In Memory of Home’ opening on Wednesday at Gloria.

I am thrilled to share that I will be curating 1200 m2 of contemporary art at Godsbanen, Aarhus from 2025 opening with no other than Eliyah Mesayer (@mesayer).

Taking over from Signe Jochumsen (@signecnj) who initiated the project #samtidskunstiråhal with
Marianne Grymer Bargeman (@grymerbargeman) director of @godsbanen.

A heartfelt thank you to Marianne and the jury: Tone Bonnen, Søren Taaning, Signe Jochumsen and Marie Nipper. I am very grateful and excited.

This weekend is the last chance to catch the exhibition 'silver spoon' by Sidsel Meineche Hansen at Four Boxes Gallery!

Meineche Hansen's works provide a critical look at the present by exposing the absurdities of capitalist reality - often through a feminist lens.

In the exhibition Meineche Hansen hones in on questions of ownership, and what conditions grant the rights to own one’s own body, art, and home. Across three floors, a series of artworks shed light on the skewed and exclusionary conditions of class and sociopolitical circumstances.

‘silver spoon’ is developed in partnership with gta exhibitions, ETH Zurich, Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture and supported by Danish Arts Foundation, Randers Tegl and municipality of Skive.

Thanks to @no_sid and everyone who made this possible.
I am a very happy curator <3

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Friday’s Artist Talk and the prepremiere screening of Tore Hallas' strong and beautiful new work: YOU ARE CLOSER TO GOD WHEN YOU DO NOT INDULGE

Using the camera as his tool, Hallas explores how desire, worship, and power operate.
Working within themes of fatness and queerness, and fatness as queerness; religious ontologies and intention; as well as photographic and cinematographic reflection as both theme and method. Personal narratives, and the intersectionalities of violences and positionalities are undercurrents in his works, along with travelling as both physical displacement and symbolic quest, and the interaction between the world and the othered body and mind.

YOU ARE CLOSER TO GOD WHEN YOU DO NOT INDULGE is a poetic and political work of explicit intimate images and scientific research that reveals discourses judging which bodies are deemed worthy of sexualization and the financial consequences that follows.

Thank you @torehallas for trusting in me and thank you to the Museum of Contemporary Art @museet_for_samtidskunst and GRASP @graspfest for collaborating with us.

Also, thanks to the A-team of @mariesvin @lineglavind, @rsdnlsn, @kelisagot and @chrsj74.

Tore’s work was generously funded by @statenskunstfond and @art_hub_copenhagen

‘Exposé’ @palaisdetokyo

Thank you !! Overwhelmed and touched. So many important strong queer voices at Palais de Tokyo🤍🤍🤍

Captured here, the two site specific installations:

Zoe Leonard, ‘Untitled Palai de Tokyo (for Elisabeth)’ 2023

fierce pussy ‘For the Record’ 2023

Curated by @francois_piron

From the exhibition text:

“Exposé·es: people did not choose to be exposed to a virus, an illness, an epidemic.
Exposé·es: people did choose to be exposed in order to make visible this virus, this illness, this epidemic.
Amongst these people were artists. Amongst these viruses, these illnesses, was HIV/AIDS, which caused the deadliest epidemic of the past century and of the present one.

Today we live amidst epidemics that affect all of us, humans and non-humans alike. The book that inspired this exhibition, Elisabeth Lebovici’s [@le_beau_vice2]Ce que le sida m’a fait. Art et activisme à la fin du XXe siècle [What AIDS Did to Me – Art and Activism at the End of the 20th Century] looks to sew back together subjective fragments of the deadliest epidemic of the last century: the facts, works, ideas and emotions that linked the material to the immaterial. It questions how the pulsations of desire, loss, anger, pain, memory and the archive have together made history. How they allowed for the (re)composition of interrupted genealogies, the federation of communities that produced forms and structures that still operate today, at times beyond their initial aims. How they anticipated questions of gender, class and race and the unconscious dynamic of ableism, the construction of norms around a putative state of “good health”.”
