The visuals of Donut π©π
The look and feel of Donut is a credit to the work of many people, but first and foremost
@benmullen , an incredible cinematographer and producing partner, and a sweet dear friend who lets me rope him into the darndest things π₯Ί aside from everything he did to make this movie happen, heβs also a big reason why Iβm making movies at all in the first place π day 1π
He also always brings a team of heavy hitters
@felipe_larrondo @pancho_ortiz @adri.a.lopez @maudlaurent8 who kept us in focus and running smoothly. There was a great feeling on set of care and professionalism that was really humbling
@ryanoppedphoto βs scrappy gaffing with almost no equipment, and listening patiently to my tirades against dunkin despite his new england allegiances π also #1 donut enjoyer, youβll have to see the movie to believe
@nadinesondej worked with myself and the actors to find the wardrobe and looks for these characters, and is always a steadfast support
@corrinnejamez jumped in to help in a bunch of different ways, but most notably to create the paper donut decorations on the wall, and keep the set looking right π₯³
@davidgantz another coproducer for all that he gave to this project β the multiest-hyphenate in a room of multi-hyphenates lol β but most especially filling in as the b-cam operator at the last minute, and editing this movie β creating the feelings of spontaneity that can be achieved in the room thru improvisation, but donβt always translate onto camera
The final stage, working with Vilde Donasen to create the color look was one of the biggest unknowns for me going in, and she did an extraordinary job (under difficult circumstances) achieving a beautiful, grounded, and spooky finished product while also teaching me how it worked π
Wish I had more crew photos but I totally dropped the ball on that lol. These bts photos are from
