Getting to celebrate the launch of Dare to Defy alongside the legend @richard_whitehead_mbe and so many of the people who have made this tv show so special. It’s a 3 part series looking at inclusivity and accessibility in sport. More than anything to me though it’s a celebration of life, resilience and the unstoppable power of the human spirit. In the run up to Christmas and just before we think about the new year and our hopes & dreams for the future… this is the perfect programme to watch reminder of what hope, unity, family and positivity can do. It’s been the greatest honour to meet the people featured in this show… and while it doesn’t shy away from the hard truth that we need to do so much more to help people feel included in sport… it’s a start and it’s showing what’s already possible if you just give people an opportunity. Yesterday I was in London with @adeleroberts for the media launch at @hamyard_hotel of Dare to Defy our new three part documentary series about inclusion in sport streaming on Prime Video from 3rd December. After months of filming it was great to meet up with everyone involved in the show again and celebrate the upcoming release. Guests got a sneak peak of episode 1 and afterwards myself and @adeleroberts took part in a fireside chat alongside Abi Evans who appears in the first episode and undertakes a remarkable challenge 🏎️ As well as some incredible people in the documentary there are some important messages about the power of sport and how we need change to happen now across all sports to ensure people from under represented communities are included.
