Mataaho Collective, Takapau, 2022. Installation (polyester hi-vis tiedowns, stainless steel buckles and j-hooks). Site specific reconfiguration Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa. 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, ‘Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere’. Walked through this incredible installation twice. On the third pass by, I just happened to be there at the righttt time of day to turn around and see this magic. Just by the small doorway’s evening light, this soft reflective color danced amongst the traditional weaves. Shared this experience with my mom and the look of amazement when I told her to turnaround was so cute! Moments that nourish my soul 🤲✨
