Few weeks back I did a late night show with some old friends and new friends at @shambalafest Some serious vibes coming from @jaega_mg @tag_ara @rivahjordan Jo from @brasstermind @slicknbobby I came away from this show feeling weird about it. I wasn’t at my best and didn’t find my groove. But looking back at the video makes me appreciate it in a different way. Live bass and drums was a new thing and we could definitely of done with some rehearsal on how to start and stop tunes. All the players and Rivah Jordan were on top form and absolutely smashed it. Jeaga timing was impeccable and never strayed for a second from the click I was blasting into his ears. Bass and drums grooved hard. Slick and Bobby are definitely going to rival Sly and Robbie. It was all a bit different to how I normally run the show I wasn’t in full control and there’s definitely some lessons to take away from it.
