Great news: Our latest single GOOD SWIM will soon be available on 7“ vinyl! THIS IS NOT A MOCKUP, right now the last cuts are being made, the last edges are being folded to get the record in your hands in time for Christmas. The fantastic artwork by @clarissakassai shines in all its glory in an elaborate gatefold construction (patent pending). Anyone familiar with the format of a vinyl record will ask: What is hidden on the back of this cover? And you’d be right: Two tracks fit on one 7“. Next Friday we can shed some light on this. One more thing: We haven’t played a concert all year - we want to play newwww soooooongs 😫 Luckily we’ve been invited to play the annual pre-Christmas concert (23.12.) at our favorite record store @second_hand_records in Stuttgart. Starts at 8 pm, please come!

Hey friends and fans! We’re more than happy to share our new track GOOD SWIM with all of you today. We experienced a lot of emotion when we wrote and recorded it and we hope it translates 🌗

The track is the first release we are doing together as the band Sloe Paul. Mari, Marcus, Marius, Timbo and Paul. Releasing something together after all this time feels beautiful and special to us. A further step in this ongoing bond of friendship and musicianship (seriously!!)

Naturally, a good friend of the band is on board with the cover design by @clarissakassai . Lyrics by Marius Alsleben, mix by Paul Abbrecht, master by Moritz Illner of @duophonicvinyl . This is TRUE PLACES, this is a music video. Shot on a sunny day, unplanned. Drift along 🛼

„It’s not down on any map; True places never are“, a quote from Moby Dick inspired this melancholic yet optimistic track about common memories, friendship, (missed) opportunities and a true place to look forward too. 
The song introduces Marius Moses Alsleben as an independent artist and marks a new step in the many years of collaboration of me (Marius) and me (Paul). During a week we spent at Lake Constance last year to work on some new music, Marius brought along this track. We took some steps together with Marcus, Mari and Timbo (thank you!) and continued almost a year later in Paul’s studio.
 Paul quickly stitched together a video, or rather it flew to him - pure coincidence!
The fantastic cover was painted by @luise.spielhagen . We are happy & proud to release „True Places“ on @sternengruppe - a great music label, arts collective & all-around great people!
