I was going through some long-neglected moving boxes in my basement and ran across this dusty old uncompleted, unframed painting that my wonderful, talented mother, Bonnie, did back in the 1960s. She was my biggest inspiration to become an artist.
I have a big closet in my old 1932 SCR home in Palm Springs, and this frame, left by the previous owner, had a Renoir print in it. It dawned on me after seeing my Mom‘s painting that it would be a much better fit for this SCR home and that spot.
I can’t tell you what a comfort, joy and inspiration it is to see my Mom’s creativity unfold every morning in her ‘work in progress’ as I prepare for my day. After all, even after all these years, I’m still a ‘work in progress’ myself 🙂
Love you Mom!❤️😘 …and thanks for a lifetime of artistic inspiration 🎨

This reflects my thoughts on the push to ban TikTok 1000%.
Facebook wants TikTok gone because it’s winning the Social Media competition. Don’t let Facebook’s unrelenting lobbying efforts enable the government to strip you of your 1st amendment rights to choose what you want to read or watch.

Reclaiming an area that used to be a parking pad (that we didn’t really need) with a new fountain and vintage hanging lantern. Fountain has an auto-fill feature, and is connected via Lutron Caséta switches, so it turns on/off based on time of sunrises/sunsets and wether we are here. Can also control from phone (Apple HomeKit), so trouble free and energy efficient. Love the challenge of or retaining old-world SCR charm while integrating new tech.

Saw a dark shadow fly low past me and up onto the wire bordering my yard last night. Got closer and this is what I found.
