Fall vibes 🍂🎃 and review by @bookishreadsandme “It is my stop on the tour for #TheCatchMeIfYouCan with @tlcbooktours It is also something a bit different for me reviewing a travel book on here. I have always been interested in travel and learning about the world and its many interesting places. One dream job of mine was always to be a travel writer so I was in my element reading this book. Jessica’s travels to all these countries is fascinating to read about. She only talks about 100 of the 195 UN recognised countries but what she has written about each one gives you the feel of what each destination and it’s people are like. She is incredibly personal and honest about all her encounters. She makes a point of getting to know the locals and to visit where they would eat and spend their time. Even in some of the world’s most dangerous places. The photography is stunning and so colourful. From glorious beaches to safaris to city life to deserts and so much more! What Jessica also describes is how different people around the world reacted to the colour of her skin and how at times she was stared at inquisitively or treated like a second class citizen. If like me you love learning about different destinations, even ones you may have never heard of (which was the case for me with some of these countries!) then do get this book.
