We're back on the 18th of January .Bringing innovators Siraba for their debut performance in the UK . Alongside a lineup of some of Bristol and London’s best selectors spinning an array of global grooves and bass heavy stompers to get you moving
Siraba
In the music of Siraba, Malian donso Hunter Boubacar Samake’s Wassoulou vocals and ngoni rhythms collide with the electronic grooves of French electronic producer Damien Vandesande. The pair embrace their musical differences and similarities to create a unique sound full of melodic and rhythmic hooks that are immediately infectious and danceable. A musical conversation between the ngoni — the six-stringed instrument of the Malian hunter tribe — and a palette of drum machines and synthesizers, Siraba is the ancient sound of West Africa wrapped in a contemporary electronic soundscape.
Inda flo
DJ, radio host, and promoter, Inda Flo pulls up on the underground club scene to bend and blend cultural sounds in her stomping ground of global bass, percussive club, ethno-techno, electronic, and world. Her sets guarantee a bouncy energy that reaches across waters and beyond borders of Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Expect to move and sweat to heavy basslines, relentless rhythms, and certified bangers.
Joeti
Both a DJ and producer, Joeti, will provide an array of global bass stompers and percussive mayhem to satisfy your rhythmic needs.
Sojebeats
Hannah rarely sticks to one genre, so expect a tasteful mashup of wordly funk and a fusion of reggaeton, soca, jungle, samba, baile funk, techno; bhangra, dabke, afrobeats and more.
Ajayi
"If mediocre white men can do it, I can too!" Liz Ajayi plays a combination of music that she listened to, her mother did, and her grandmother too. Music through the diaspora has been wholly centred around popular afrobeats, but there is so much more to discover. you will be embraced with the versatility of Nigerian artists through the decades, and some other African countries might get some love, too. But we all know Nigeria's the best!
There is gonna be a whole lot of amazing music, so come down, shake a leg, and make a friend or two.
Twende! xx
