I’ve been reflecting on all that has happened in 2022 as I head into this new year. There have been so many different opportunities that I could have never imagined for myself.
Our businesses change all of the time, and sometimes it changes in ways that might surprise us.
I had a conversation with my dad and we were discussing how your business can take us to places you would have never imagined. you don’t know what your business is going to be like in 5 years or 10 years, but you just have to go with the flow and follow the opportunities and the twists and turns that pop up.
And he’s right! A lot can change can be so scary to think about but it also should be exciting.
As we speak, my business is undergoing a lot of changes right now and while it is scary, it’s exciting because it’s changes that will make my business better.
I’m just thankful for everything I got to create in 2022, all the wonderful people I got to work with, and all the crazy opportunities I never could have imagined 💕
Ready for some big change in 2023 🥰

I got to share some self portraits at my amazing wonderful and extremely talented friend @hannahhollandphoto gallery show ♥️
I haven’t had the chance to exhibit any work for many many years and it was such a wonderful experience to see my work up for display, as well as to be exhibited in a room among so many other incredible artists!
@hannahhollandphoto you are amazing and you impress me all the time! Thanks for giving me this opportunity and making it such a wonderful night for every person in the room! Love you lots 😘

Before I moved to NY, I had to spend 3 years in my hometown working crazy hard to get my business off the ground so I could prep to move to a place that would feel right for me.
Talking with a friend the other night, and I was expressing how hard those three years in Sacramento felt at times. I’ve sometimes looked back and wished I could have moved earlier or done things differently.
I threw so much of myself into my business, I really gave up my social life, and I dug deep. I knew the harder I worked, the closer I was to moving to a place that would align with me.
Sometimes when I’m in a bad mood, I’ll look back on those three years and feel like they were wasted. Butttttttttttttttttttttt I wouldn’t be who I am without those three years, my business wouldn’t be what it is, I wouldn’t feel as happy or accomplished, or settled, or have all the connections that I have now that have made the transition so simple for me.
Basically I spent those three years prepping my business to be successful in this transition and prepping myself for the move, and it worked 💕
I’ve felt so much joy in these past 7 months, living in a city with so much creativity and just an endless amount of things to do and see ✨
I’m still shooting and working on my business, but after years of only focusing on my business I’m finally just focusing on myself and it feels amazing.
Just a reminder if you are in that place where you are working like crazy to achieve your goal, you got this! It won’t be this hard forever 💕
So basically you’ll be seeing some more shoots and work from me whenever I feel like up to shooting lol
As always thanks for all the support ♥️ 😘

This shoot was a long time in the making. I originally had this idea for this concept maybe a year ago? I would go for really long walks and listen to songs and imagine what each song would look like.
I was struck by this song Baby Blue Bird, by the Fruit Bats. I’d always admired their songwriting, and while this song was really simple it felt really visual to me.
I’d tried to attempt this concept before, but even though the photos still turned out great it just wasn’t what I was imagining for the song and the story.
I finally had the chance to shoot the concept again this fall, and using what I learned from the last shoot and with the help of the most amazing team I was able to truly bring this concept to life.
Here is set 3 of 3 from our Baby Bluebird shoot 🩵🕊️
The word that inspired this whole concept:
But it’s in the rearview
My baby, baby bluebird
Thank you to my wonderful team! Y’all are amazing!!! ♥️
