Exciting news! π Our wonderful volunteers have been undertaking some vital footpath repair work along the Brockholes motorway path πΆ
Hopefully this invaluable work will improve the experience for visitors by hardening standing under foot and reduce the number of puddles present. Let us know what you think next time you visit.

Conservation on the high seas (or maybe our lakes π£)
Our reserve team and volunteers have recently retrieved our tern rafts from No 1 Pit. The rafts provide breeding habitat for common tern in summer, but are best retrieved and moored at the lake edge to avoid the worst of the winter weather and to allow for repairs. Thank you to our volunteers who towed, pulled and dragged the rafts to shore.
