Through the intimate, mysterious moods and the strong contrasts between backlighting and indirect illumination, we were able to shape each song in such a way that the audience was taken on a melancholic journey through Fil Bo Riva’s music.

We had the pleasure of creating an intimate stage design for Fil Bo Riva’s Modern Melancholia Tour. In keeping with the melancholic vibe of the album, we worked extensively with silhouettes and backlighting to create a unique atmosphere. It was a fantastic experience traveling all across Europe with a great band and crew!

• the concept for the ‚Robotus‘ tour integrated stage design and lighting with the performance. We created a dynamic environment that seamlessly changed with the music and the artist’s movements. By integrating two small LED walls, which were scenically connected and separated, we had the opportunity to incorporate specific video content. This gave @alexandermarcusofficial and us an additional layer to depict the story around Robotus. The interaction between all elements leads to an unforgettable visual and emotional impression.

• In the lighting design for the ‚Robotus‘ tour, we aimed not only to create effect lighting but also to integrate targeted illumination of the protagonist and the stage design. Through the asymmetrically and obliquely arranged trusses, which were the key element of the design, we were able to create not only interesting spaces but also reflect the chaotic and crumbling world around Robotus. This lighting design complements the stage setting and amplifies the story @alexandermarcusofficial wanted to tell his audience.

• for @alexandermarcusofficial and his album ‚Robotus‘ we created a stage design that brings the post-apocalyptic world of Robotus to life. Focusing on props and detailed set objects, we enable the audience to deeply immerse into the story and feel a strong emotional connection to the music. This stage design serves as the perfect backdrop for the Robotus narrative.

• What truly set our design apart was the fusion of various elements—lighting, visuals, and technology—each integral, but when combined, creating a show that was not just watched but experienced.

• Working hand in hand with the band, we delved into the show’s direction, infusing each song with a unique visual identity. Our strategic use of dynamic stage props helped to carve out distinctive settings for each piece, transitioning from ethereal color palettes to lively urban scenes and bustling transit hubs.

• Building on our rewarding partnership with 01099 from last year, we eagerly embraced the role of shaping this year’s production design. Our ambition was to craft a stage that echoed the vitality and variety of a theater environment, offering our artists a canvas to connect deeply with their performance space. At the heart of our design concept was an innovative rotating video wall, which became the cornerstone for fluid scene changes and engaging, immersive experiences.

The show was conceptually staged in five distinct acts, inspired by the structure of a film noir. Between these acts, Asaf changed positions on stage and seamlessly transitioned between his instruments.
We designed three unique worlds or settings on stage. The first was his Music Room, where he invited the audience to an intimate gathering to create music together. The second was his Piano Room, where he could delve into his darkest, saddest, and most intense moments with the audience. The third setting was a bar/living room situation, where he invited the audience for a drink and a chat, providing a cozy space for three truly intimate songs

Thanks to the whole crew for this amazing journey the last 3 months.

To unveil another layer on stage, we opted to employ a moving curtain positioned upstage. Once raised, this curtain revealed an additional layer of fabric with a beige hue, symbolizing hope and offering us the opportunity to infuse it with colors distinct from the black-and-white world we initially presented. We determined that this would be the exclusive method to showcase deep and vibrant colors on stage—a reflection of this fabric. Like a horizon of light capturing the mood of the song, it would be at times fully visible and at other times just a hint, due to the curtain in front. Through this installation, we could play with various contrasts and emphasize the versatility of this minimalist setup.

When @asafavidanmusic approached me and shared his new press pictures, which were generated by an AI bot in the style of Film Noir, we immediately envisioned the perfect stage concept. From that moment onward, we began brainstorming possibilities to recreate that aesthetic on stage and discussed how to capture the contrasts, black-and-white elements, and expressionistic lighting reminiscent of the past.
I visited different thrift shops to assemble the set pieces. We chose them carefully to achieve the 40s/50s look reminiscent of the films from that era.
