Here is the trailer of a TV series pilot I shot a way back in France. I always loved to shoot narrative because you have the freedom to be very creative. While reading a script, I always do a first read for the story, then on the second read I try to picture how each frame of the film would look best, it is a good way to keep your imagination running. You're going to have to deal with tons of obstacles during the production process, they are going to mess with you, stuff like budget, locations, timeframe, crew size, weather, these obstacles are going to keep your brain sharp at all time. I think what I like the most about the film industry is that you have to constantly find solutions to new problems, and it is always different for each project. I think these obstacles are actually a form of creativity, the final product will result on how you decided to solve these problems. From reading the script to the last phase of coloring there is so many directions you could choose to go, at the end, all these choices are going to be the cinematography identity you're giving to the movie. To me, it is a matter to be as close as possible to the vision I had while reading the script, it is not and will never be the case but sometimes good surprises happen. Having a good crew is always key to success. Director: @quentinfabiani 1st AC: @cgbrt Gaffer: Paul Chapel #cinematography #dp #tvpilot #tvseries #production #apocalypse #film
