When I got asked to do this project, it had been a while since I’ve danced to my own “tune” if you will. I wasn’t really freestyling or in class at the moment so when I was asked to come in and freely move, my heart was as elated. I didn’t know what I was going to do but as soon as I heard the music I didn’t need to think about it, I just, danced lol. And I thank God for this gift that is deeply embedded in my genetic make up to move, communicate, and create through this medium of movement. It was an honor to star in @amaarae new song/visual “Jehovah Witness” and her team welcomed me with so much love and respect of me, my body, and my craft. This project was a gift of liberation, remembrance of who I am as a mover and foretelling for what’s to come in the future: me, the art, the people and the LOVE of it all. Thank you Amaarae boo you got me and the whole world dancing! Lol. A huge shoutout to my manager at BTA for aiding me in this as an artist, feeling so human and cherished. Thank you @vickygmakeup for the incredible glam, @unitsbybrielv this unit held me down, thank you for the hair from one gig to the next! @tarasheree you were a joy communicating and working with you and @freenjoy and @maks.ellies directing was the icing on the cake for me your vision and kindness speaks wonders. Also beautiful thank you to @janaeroubleau & @itzjonce for this incredible look. The entire rest of the team was a gift from heaven and I’m so grateful for such a wonderful, safe, uplifting environment to create and be in. I am grateful. GRATEFUL. That’s is it. That is all. Xx, T
