This is a sample of the VFX I made for the VISUALS PROJECTED LIVE ON STAGE at @ajrbrothers "The Maybe Man Tour" concerts. To achieve the effect of the disproportionate growth of the limbs, 3D Digital doubles of Jack's hands and legs were created in CG and composited onto his real body. These 3D CG limbs gradually replace the real limbs throughout the video, until the entire image becomes a FULL CG shot. In order to make Jack incredibly large compared to the room he is in, an optical illusion was created: Jack's 3D model was not actually made larger, but the 3D model of the room was shrunk and the camera was linked to his POV. This helped save a lot of time in the animation process. The giant eye reflected in the mirror is Jack's real eye modified with visual effects. This was shot separately. Jack's reflection at the beginning is a green screen effect (the mirror had green cardboard over the glass). Every detail was adjusted and fine-tuned to meet all AJR's requirements.
