This shoot was one of the last concepts that Uli executed before they passed, a shoot they had been dreaming up and talking about for months. We could tell how important this was to them, which honestly put the pressure on. Uli always had such high expectations for us, and its safe to say that a lot of what we have achieved behind the camera had so much to do with them being the most amazing cheerleader. For this shoot Uli wanted to create something very GAY that celebrated queer love, and they wanted to have some fun with fashion. There was so much joy on set that day, one of the last few days we spent with Uli, and I am so grateful to have had a front row seat to get to watch them do what they love. This caption was a weird one to write... but it's not lost on me that Uli will be cackling from wherever they are. They loved to see me do things I said I wouldn't, like writing something meaningful on a post of my torso.
