A long time coming to sit with @iamalexavant and @china_chow . I promised Alex a painting edition piece of his Dad and my very special friend #clarenceavant . So @lindaloo1122 arranged the whole thing but couldn’t join us sadly. Mr. Chows has always been a special place for me even in the early NEW YORK days. I actually went there with @the_antonio_archives Antonio Lopez , the great fashion illustrator back in 1986! It was otherworldly expensive, i could never think of going there alone !! lol . I then learned that that was the great artist hang out place… I had no idea! So today , here in los Angeles, I love sitting by Antonio’s beautiful drawings when I go there. China worked it all out. We had a ball !! Ate everything!!! Mr.Chow is not only an amazing ing restauranteur, but an exciting exceptional Painter!! Alex, I hope that this piece finds its perfect spot with you bruv. 🙏🏾🙏🏾. I’ll never forget the many many times I was lucky enough to spend time with your an ing beloved parents. This day of painting him was full of stories and laughing our asses off. Enjoy it .
