Art and culture could be the answer’ - Damir Ivic The far right is always growing in France, up to the point of being on the doorstep of power. It is already in power in many European countries, from Hungary to Italy and Slovakia. Racist violence, restrictions on freedoms, massive privatizations, propagandistic intentions: the consequences of these arrivals in power are many and varied. The journalism and cultural sectors are two spheres in which the nationalist and authoritarian influence takes root in extremely tangible ways: the positioning of ideological close allies, the destruction of public platforms, the sidelining of independent media, budget cuts, and so on.
