I got The Breeders “Last Splash” CD in 1996 after enlisting my best friend Dina to grab it when she was travelling to Europe on a family trip. Finding any indie records specifically anything off
@4ad in Egypt was virtually impossible in the 90s, there was zero distro and zero access, you *had* to travel abroad… so this was a pretty momentous occasion and a long ass wait to finally have this CD in my hands. It still sits in my record collection in my bedroom in Heliopolis. I was 15 so the impression it left on me was massive.
Fast forward to now, working with
@kimdealmusicofficial an ICON to me and so many others, is beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you Kim for showing myself and so many others what being a cool shredder is, what it is to be genuine with serious chops and to also just be a really fucking nice person in this relentless industry.
