When you think about Malaysian cuisine, it’s impossible to pick one standout dish. Malaysian food is a beautiful mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Indigenous influences, each one adding its own influence through flavours, ingredients, and techniques that make the food so special and unique.
That incredible fusion of cultures is exactly what we have tried to capture throughout the cookbook. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the dishes that define our heritage, our culture, and the memories that bring us together. From treasured family recipes to street food favourites, every page tells a story of connection, tradition, and, of course, amazing food.
Over the past year, our founder, Sugen Gopal, has poured his heart into this book, celebrating the food, people, and stories that define Malaysian cuisine, with a few of your favourite Roti King dishes included for good measure.
