Peace and happy day !! Just wanted to share a lil sumthin with yal. Eye Got blessed up real brief and was invited to be part of this campaign for @converse and figured today, #indigenouspeoplesday would be a great opportunity to share this. Although, this shoot was to commemorate “Hispanic Heritage” month I couldn’t move forward without honoring that indigenous lineage, spirit, and Territory first and foremost. Before there was the term Latino/Hispanic, my peoples were from and of the land. Before they were indigenous they just were.. eye wrote a little excerpt on identity and how language is political: which you can read ( https://link.medium.com/G0NsGekuhkb ) nevertheless I wanna keep this short and sweet just wanna shout out everyone that played a big role in this creative, spiritual, personal, and cultural journey. Currently experiencing heartbreak 💔 , and as much as it hurts - I’ve learned this is how blessings work. How eye respond/react shapes my reality. I am my actions. I am loving. I am trusting. Rn , I am sad but ultimately thankful for the radical love that has shown up 444 me 🤍 I feel a level up happening.
