The scenes in ‘Dea Saffica’ were shot in real extreme conditions. To capture the bond between women and nature, we shot in a Roman bath with hot spring water in the Italian Alps. We filmed in scorching hot tunnels and freezing outdoors, in rain and snow. Masao is 93 and Yuriko 87. They got married 65 years ago and lived in the same home since then. The secret for their long relationship is bickering every day, Yuriko said laughing.
