This was the very first Neon Phusion production track to be released as a 12" single. It actually started out life as an Afronaught project for mouseTrap sister label MonkeyFunk records late 95 early 96 quickly morphing into a NP track as Alex Phountzi joined in on further, production, Kester Lyddon wrote key parts and later invited Kaidi round to play some on the jam... It almost became a Slip n Slide remix project for Ursula Rucka, hence title but then sat shelved until its release the following year on Laws of Motion Records because sadly, mouseTrap ceased trading. Written and produced by Orin Walters, Kester Lyddon & Alex Phountzi. Additional keys by Kaidi Tatham. Recorded by Afronaught in the Attic, Richmond. Mixed by "Duke" Luke. R.I.P. Lennie de Ice, foundational junglist. Lennie De Ice, born Lenworth Green, is a pivotal figure in the evolution of jungle music. As a British producer, DJ, and founder of Do Or Die Records, his groundbreaking 1991 track "We Are I.E." which we danced our asses off to, is widely recognized as one of the first if not proto jungle tunes. Defined by fast-paced breakbeats and heavy basslines, the track shaped the genre’s signature sound and inspired a generation of producers. In addition to his production work, Lennie hosted radio shows on stations like Rave FM and Dance FM, promoting jungle and drum and bass to a growing audience. A key collaboration with Uncle 22, who taught him to use the music software Cubase, further honed his skills and bolstered his influence. Through his innovative music, record label, and radio presence, Lennie De Ice played a vital role in the UK rave scene and established himself as a legend in electronic music history.
