ANNOUNCING ALCOVA MILANO 2025!
Four unique locations: the former SNIA factory, the Pasino glasshouses, Villa Bagatti Valsecchi and Villa Borsani.
For 2025, Alcova is set to return to Varedo, further reinforcing the idea of Milan as a city of perpetual growth, expansion, and change. Building on the success of last year’s edition, Alcova reaffirms its presence with the introduction of two new venues: the Pasino glasshouses and the former SNIA factory.
The Pasino glasshouses, once home to one of the largest white orchid cultivations in Europe, provide a spectacular natural backdrop, inviting visitors into a space where nature interacts with the exhibited pieces.
The former SNIA factory, a key site in Italy’s industrial history, stands as a forgotten gem of Milanese rationalism. With the clean, geometric lines of its expansive glass façades, the factory tells the story of a different era. Its wide, luminous spaces will host experimental design installations while paying homage to Italy’s industrial heritage.
Villa Bagatti Valsecchi and Villa Borsani will continue to play central roles, offering historical and domestic contexts alongside these new explorations.
Stay tuned for more updates!

Intricate, imagined ecosystems flourish in one of River Inn’s patios, created by David Aliperti in collaboration with SoMad NYC, a queer- and femme-led art space.
These microcosms, made entirely by hand using dyed foam clay—no tools, no shortcuts—take months to complete, embodying patience, intuition, and the laborious rhythm of craft.
The works invite viewers into abstract, emotional landscapes, forging introspective connections free from expectations. Rooted in nature’s resilience and power for reinvention, Mother Tree resonates with the perseverance of marginalized communities and their transformative potential.

A collaboration between Make_Good_Design and the Center for Subtropical Affairs, in support of the Miami Tropical Botanic Garden, Outside/In recreates a tropical jungle within the rooms of the River Inn, harmonizing with its surroundings. The installation features modular self-watering planters, rare and ancient plant life, generative plant-powered epiphytic audio, and site-specific horticultural design, creating a regenerative environment for both humans and non-humans.
Drawing attention to the Miami Tropical Botanic Garden in Little Haiti, this project highlights one of Miami’s last sanctuaries of tropical flora and native Everglades species. A community-based horticulture, the garden is a vital green space in the city.
