The party as a means of soul retrieval (a term borrowed from the brilliant @asgharthegrouch ) 2. The party as a tool for building revolutionary networks and community I am making this film because I need to figure out if my skills and experiences as a filmmaker/club rat/dj can be at all useful as capitalism and fascism and imperialism try to choke everybody out. I am also making this film to see who in my community I am creatively and politically aligned with, to see who i work well with, and to see what we can make together. I believe that art has the power to save lives because art has saved mine ¯\_(.__.)_/¯ I'm not saying that THIS project in particular is gonna be the one to change the world (cuz be fucking fr), but it is the first of many steps on my path to becoming a revolutionary artist that can be "the mouthpiece of a new reality in action."
