What an experience! I got styled at @nikela’s Sport x Style Studio at LA Fashion Week and walked in the @rioworld show.

#Sponsored @teampixel asked us where all of the magic began and we couldn’t think of anywhere else but our family home’s backyard. When we think back to playing in the backyard, we feel a sense of joy and gratitude. We were learning for the first time how to dribble and pass. Our dad would make it so much fun for us.  Although our dad was not a soccer player, he was an athlete and an educator, so he understood how to teach a skill and the importance of repetition. He also did a lot of research like asking other coaches and watching videos.  Since our backyard was such a tight space, most of our training sessions with our dad focused on our first touch, dribbling and control at different speeds. We would usually go through cones, focusing on developing the proper technique. The thing we miss most about these days is that there wasn’t any pressure or expectations. Year 2… There were so many lessons learned this season. Through the highs and lows, I was lifted up by the people around me. Thank you for keeping me going and helping me to continue to grow. We’ll come back stronger🖤
