It's been a long time coming but so excited to see this new VA album out on @generalmerchant_ titled "Metal Form Suite" Such a diverse array of sounds assembled so perfectly, really dope the whole way through! When I was asked to contribute something, my track "Schism" was just in it's very early stages and had plenty of room for inspiration. I wanted to capture the moods of a few key GM parties that I've attended, specifically the ones that were tucked away in a concrete underpass (iykyk). Grimy, dark and distorted. Wanted to make a deal of this one! My first official remix recently came out on the very stacked ECDYSIS compilation celebrating 5 years of @amniote.editions !! It was a really rewarding experience working with @eastern.distributor (Jörmungandr)'s material for this, a deeply talented producer who is currently pushing sonic boundaries in a big way. In approaching this remix, I was inspired by the sounds of Minutiae festival, a cycle celebration held on Wiradjuri land. I played my set right before Deej and handed over to him in an emotive halftime state washed with textural soundscapes and alternating rhythms so it felt right to capture this moment in my own way with his elements. & last but not least, Oomycota label heads @tangela__t and @amuwa_mwah are joining forces for a now somewhat rare performance together. First show back on home turf after tours across the EU. Closing out the night with a trip deep into the wiggy, psychedelic and ear tickling world of Oomycota.
