Had you told me when we performed our little play that, just a year and half later, it would be turned into a full-blown, feature film, I wouldn't have believed you. But here we are, in the final stretch and loving every minute 🎬🌹

Rounding off our WW2 tour of Prague with a visit to Saints Cyril and Methodus Cathedral. Following their successful assassination of Heydrich, the Czechoslovak agents sheltered in the basement of this church. However, they were eventually discovered, with Nazi forces storming the church on 18 June 1942. The men made their last stand and after a fierce gun battle, two of their number were slain. Running low of ammunition and without hope of escape, the rest committed suicide to avoid capture. There is now a museum in the church crypt dedicated to them as national heroes. Visitng was a poignant experience and one that I will not forget.

Visitng the site of SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich's assassination. Heydrich was 2nd in command of the SS, chief architect of the Holocaust and the highest-ranking Nazi official to be successfully assassinated during the Second World War. Operation Anthropoid was successfully executed by Czech resistance on 27th July 1942. Alas, both they and the Czech people would pay a heavy price.
