In the nighttime… Vespa strikes again (not me)

Toot toot! The one that rode away. I’m planning to launch this series of shirts in the new year. I’ve got about 12 Vespa designs so far—might even try a few Lambrettas!

In the nighttime… at the Penthouse, @thataaronchapman put on an unforgettable event. Fast Folk Underground featured performances by Eugene Ripper and Carmen White, and Aaron also read excerpts from his books. A very cool show.

In the nighttime… our annual scooter club party shenanigans. There’s something about buttless chaps that really brings out the best of us. Long story.

Finally finished restoring the second Crescent bike I picked up this summer—huge thanks to @vancityrelics for the tip! This step-through model was in much rougher shape than the blue men’s bike. It took quite a bit of work to de-rust and straighten out all the fender dents, but now it’s looking sharp. The electronics are fully functional, the chain is repaired, and the two-speed duomatic hub is running like a dream. Shoutout to Herbert for helping crack the combination on the Basta ring lock. I couldn’t save the original 28” tires, these will have to do for now. There’s still a bit more to do, but it’s already a stunning example of sleek Swedish bike design.

Space is the place… Christmas window displays that stopped me in my moon boots.

@stickyshowvan opened tonight. Hit the artist’s preview with my mom. She has never been to one of my art shows so it was a special night. Unfortunately we had to boogie before the crowds showed up. Go check it out. Open tonight and tomorrow at Gallery 881, at 881 Hastings St.
