« Cracheuse de poisson », sculpture installation, 3d print, 2024 « The fish spitter » is a passage, leading to oneself and its labyrinths of emotions. They feel our shadows, and our light skies. If you place your hand in their mouth, they ingest your deepest desires and digest it in their belly. It remains there, gestating until it transforms into a little red shiny egg they hold in their hands forever. Vice’s chancellor talk at @norwichuniarts was so special, still floating on a cloud from all the emotions and beautiful energy we shared. We talked about the importance of imagination as a form of activism, artists being shapeshifters navigating through fluid dimensions mirroring our reality, transmission through story telling, representations and many other things. My characters were there all the way, unhealed healers holding their little lights to share with others. Thank you dear @helenanimate for the invitation, and @norwichuniarts for having me, transmission is so important. Our voices matter 🩵

Combining performance, photography, painting, sound and text in an immersive multimedia stage work, 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 is an empowering celebration of the liberating power of one‘s voice, resilience, transformation, care, community - and love. It is also a sensitive and thought-provoking reflection on the figure of the monster and the complex interconnections between interpersonal and societal power relations. OPENING : ALTAERNA Group show carte blanche Anne Horel and ines alpha With @annehorel, @Boramurmure, @ines.alpha and Thorns (@tiggythorn, @pierremarindelaisi, @kaan.has) Vernissage/Opening Saturday 23 November 6 to 9pm 📍 4 rue de Miromesnil, Paris 8 Julie Caredda is pleased to present Altærna, a group exhibition giving carte blanche to artists ines alpha and Anne Horel. ~ Altærna brings together, for the first time, works by ines alpha, BORA (with @eloisecnvs), Anne Horel, and the collective Thorns with Tiggy Thorn, Pierre Marin Delaisi and Hasim Akbaba. « It is perhaps no coincidence that most of the artists featured in Altærna come from the worlds of sound, techno parties, queer and drag scenes, or opera singing. Beyond the holistic dimension of the art forms that music involves for them (composition, performance, costume design, video editing, broadcasting, etc.), this boundary-free language speaks directly to bodies, to others, and also to the radical otherness of monsters and fantasies that populate our nights of revelry and celebration. In these in-between spaces, flows and fluidities of all kinds distort the contours of self and individual in favor of unexpected communions. [...] The works in the Altærna exhibition dissolve the methodical individualism that assigns being to identity.
