More than half a century of combined DJ experience steps behind the mixer this New Year’s Day. Vera and XDB have been captivating crowds with transformational sets since the early 2000s, and neither shows any signs of stopping. While the tides of house and techno have shifted over the years, these two remain steadfast in their dedication to vinyl and their values, reinventing only on their own terms. Vera rose to prominence during the 2000s minimal era, with associations to Perlon, Club der Visionaere, and collaborations with Ricardo Villalobos. Today, her sound is harder to pin down but unmistakably her own. Echoes of stripped-down, slow-burning beats still weave through her sets, which are masterclasses in storytelling and ambiance—qualities that align seamlessly with XDB. While XDB’s name is often linked to iconic dub techno productions, it’s his DJ sets that truly define him. His selections are deep and dubby, yet never predictable. He has a rare ability to fit together records spanning different genres and eras—a hallmark of only the most sensitive and skilled selectors. Together, Vera and XDB exemplify this artistry, each with their unique yet complementary approach to an authentic craft. Looking back at The First Dance, our annual ritual always gets out of hand. We can’t imagine kicking off the new year any other way. Each of RADION’s rooms on absolute edge, our favorite artists and cherished residents pushing the limits and of course a lush breakfast to fuel up; a winning New Year’s Day formula. Last week we’ve opened pre-registration for January 1st and many have signed up already. Thursday we’ll reveal the full programme and release the pre-reg tickets. Saturday night didn’t unfold quite as we’d imagined, but we found magic in two unique spaces: Tilla Tec, with its charm as a smaller, more intimate venue, offered a close and personal feel where each set felt like a gift. Meanwhile, RASA86 brought an industrial and expansive energy, perfectly suited for the caliber of talent lined up there. An immersive and handmade light installation by Julia Payne cemented the experience. A heartfelt thanks to Tilla Tec, RASA86, and the Amenthia, Animalia, and Esmero crews for their understanding, collaboration and commitment to blow minds despite challenging moments. After three years, we made our long-awaited return to RADION for ADE Saturday, reviving the tradition of a weekend in one of our favorite venues. What more can be said about this incredible space? The very fabric of this, dare we say, 𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 simply breathes energy, with each room radiating a perfect atmosphere. RADION: you’ve always welcomed us with open arms, and for the full 21 hours we spent here, it truly felt like home. To all the artists and visitors who joined us—thank you for coming and making it such an unforgettable ride. Since we’re talking about RADION, we’re excited to announce that pre-registration for our New Year’s ritual has just opened! All will be revealed on 31/10 at 10AM, alongside reduced pre-reg tickets. On Friday we took over Pllek for our very first ADE Matinee, teaming up with our German Nachti friends. The tone was set early with an excellent BBQ, where we sat together to fuel the dancing muscles for the night ahead. As the sun began to set, the atmosphere shifted. The music slowly rose in intensity, seamlessly rolling us from a laid-back afternoon into a vibrant night. Exactly what we had for our debut Matinee in mind :-) Our gratitude goes out to all visitors who brought the energy and joy, lovely DJ’s and Pllek for hosting us on their incredible estate. Nachti friends: we don’t need many words. You’re in our hearts forever. We can’t wait to reunite. ❤️

You owned the Club ❤️‍🔥. 67 hours of bliss across Amsterdam. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did. Trials and tribulations truly bring out the best in people.
